When contact lenses first came out, people thought they were the greatest things ever invented. Back then of course, they were the hard lenses that you had to take out and put in the solution every night.

Now they have soft lenses, disposable daily lenses and different colored lenses. Everybody wanted contacts because nobody knew you were wearing corrective lenses. Also, there didn’t seem to be the problem with fuzzy peripheral vision like there was with glasses.

However, it didn’t take long for people to discover the downside of contacts. They caused dry, irritated eyes and eye infections in a lot of users. Not to mention, there was hell to pay if you lost one. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Contacts don’t improve your vision any better than glasses do. In fact, they are just as harmful. Your eyes become dependent on them and continue to get weaker and weaker. Some eye problems can’t be helped with contacts. They can’t make the lenses the same way they make the glasses.

They just started coming out with multi-focal contact lenses and because they’re so new, the jury is still out on the use of these.

The bottom line is, contacts are not better for your eyes than glasses, and glasses are bad. Your vision is no better, in fact, it just keeps getting worse.

Contact lenses can be a huge culprit in having dry eyes. Dry eyes can occur when you don’t have a sufficient quantity of tears of if the composition of your tears is not correct. Contacts compound the problem by drawing the moisture from our eyes.

There are eye drops on the market that you could use but your eyes get used to them and then you can’t go without them. Your eyes become dependent on them.

There is a surprising factor in the manufacture of tears. It’s, drum roll……, oil. Not just any oil, but good quality heart healthy oil that helps your body function properly. That’s right. It ranks right up there with good quality water. You need both for the proper manufacture of tears.

Tears are what’s going to save your eyes from too much damage if you wear contacts. If you didn’t have to wear contacts and you don’t have to you know, your eyes would still benefit from the use of heart healthy oil in your diet.
Dry eyes can be dangerous too. The frequency in which you rub them can do some serious damage to the eyeball, especially if something gets under your contact lens. So, just like your car needs oil to run smoothly, your eyes need oil to help keep them moisturized.

Tony Robbins has this great video on his blog that shows something that’s very dear to my heart… in the many years of me teaching people how to get rid of their glasses naturally, through eye exercises and natural vision improvement techniques, I realized that everyone is looking for a life without problems.

What I discovered many times, over and over again, is the fact that being visually impaired and having the drive to get out of it, often kick-starts a life-long journey of personal development… Once the limitations of the eyes are overcome, there is no limit to what people can achieve. They embark on what Tony calls CANEI (this is Tony Robbins trademark!).

This man in the video is a phenomenal example of how to use the limitations and hurdles of life to grow to something bigger than ever thought possible!

To everybody with glasses out there, don’t see these things as a curse! They are your option to embark on a life of never ending improvement. Look for the potential opportunity in your situation, and use it to your advantage.

Don’t even think about laser eye surgery because you will end up with glasses again, AND you rob yourself of the opportunity to empower yourself to achieve what you always wanted to achieve! Go for it!
